Virgo Season Is Here — & You’re Entering A Fresh Era
Usage Guide
Overview

It’s Virgo season! From August 22nd to September 22nd, the sun will be in the empathetic, wise, patient, and nurturing sign of Virgo. This period of the year always makes us nostalgic for the shavings of No. 2 pencils from elementary school perfuming the air (since class is in session), the turning of the leaves as summer ends and fall begins, and the juncture to start rewatching Gilmore Girls for the hundredth time before cozy season begins. If we’re lucky, we can have one more epic beach day with friends.
Now, we are leaning into our inventiveness and altruistic era. We are analyzing situations to get to the bottom of them and being communicative to bring clarity to matters. At times, we might be somewhat critical and stubborn, but that’s just because we want everything to be perfect when the sun is in Virgo. The key to surviving and thriving is to comprehend that we have to lighten up and not be so serious.
Virgo season hits a little differently this year. In the past, we’ve been dealing with harsh aspects from Saturn and Neptune’s stint in Pisces; however, this time around, we are not harnessing the tense push and pull between these two planets on the sun. Not to say that we aren’t going to experience minor frustrations because, well, that’s just life. The vibes are more positive and pleasant now, allowing us to have an amazing last month of summer.
The first week of Virgo season is the only dramatic part that we’re going to be dealing with. August 28th marks the day of the lunar eclipse in Pisces, which requires us to embrace radical self-love. The sun in Virgo and moon in Pisces will square rebellious Uranus in Gemini, making the events of this day shocking and unpredictable. The mutable energy makes us all uncertain of the next steps forward, but it also gives us the energy to go with the flow and transcend into newness.
The lunar eclipse is part of the last chapter of the story we’ve been dealing with for the past year and a half. With the North Node of Destiny beginning its journey on July 26th, we are in a fresh era, one that is full of possibility and the chance to manifest our fate. As a result, we are feeling ourselves, boosting our confidence and bravado. Anything is possible under the lunar eclipse. One portal closes and another opens. The good news is that Mercury cazimi in Virgo (the sun and Mercury’s inspiring conjunction) occurs on August 27th, the day before the eclipse, lighting up our minds and hearts with pureness and clarity.
The rest of the month focuses on healing. We are looking for alternative ways to support and lift spirits to evolve. It’s been a long summer full of heartache and frustration, so think of this time as a pristine moment to try different modalities that motivate growth on a soulful level. For all we know, it can become our new go-to. The lesson is to try novel and original methods. The greatest flex is to be daring and adventurous — even if that only means choosing a different matcha latte flavor. The results could be magnificent or icky. But, unless we try, we’ll never know.
Obviously, we should proceed with caution; dipping our toes in the water before jumping in is the best way to exhibit and embrace the energy of Virgo season. Collect the data before responding and making assumptions.
